Add your tube as a new layer and resize as needed. Place where you like.
Drop Shadow > Default or what you like

Add a new layer
Select All and fill with color you want to use for your frame
Contract by 2 and hit the delete key on your keyboard

Add your credits and name save as a JPG and your tag is complete.

Off the Grid

Tutorial Supplies
VM Toolbox > Grid
DSB > Flux > Bright Noise
Penta > Color Dot
Tube of choice and closeup

New canvas 600 x 250
Pick a color from your tube
Floodfill your canvas

Add a new layer
Effects > Plugins > VM Toolbox > Grid > settings > Grid Size 30, X-Adjust 0, Y-Adjust 0, Line Width 0, Red 255, Green 255, Blue 255, Transparency 0

Magic wand > settings > Add (Shift),  Match Mode RGB Value, Tolerance 0, Contiguous Checked, Feather 0, Anti-Alias checked, Outside
Click in your white grid so they are all selected. You can zoom in on this step to make it easier. Expand by 1 and fill with the color you used only a darker shade.
Deselect > Effects > DSB > Flux > Bright Noise > settings > Intensity 40 and Direction Mix. Drop Shadow with settings 3, 3, 75, 5.

Click on the bottom layer
Effects > Texture Effects > Blinds > settings >  Width 3, Opacity 75, Use the dark color, Horizontal and Light from Left Top are both checked > click OK.

Copy/paste the closeup to the left side of your canvas. The closeup goes under your grid layer. Change the blend mode to Multiply and opacity 70 or something you like. (Blend Modes will vary depending on your tube)

Click on the top layer and copy/paste your tube > mirror > place it on the right.

Resize as needed.
Drop shadow settings at default except change the blur to 15.

Optional Step > Click on the bottom layer > Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Add Noise > settings > Random, 11, Monochrome checked

Crop your tag back to the original size. We are getting rid of the extra tube parts.
Click on your top layer > add a new layer > select all and floodfill with your dark color, contract by 4 then hit the delete key on your keyboard. Keep selected > Invert

Effects > Plugins > Penta > Color Dot at Default Settings
Deselect and apply a drop shadow > settings > 1, 1, 85. 1, black. This gives the frame a bit of something so it's not so flat.

Add your credits and name. Save as a JPG and your tag is finished.

Tube of Choice and Closeup

        
New Canvas Size 600 x 600
Pick a color from your tube for the foreground with a background of null.
Pick a preset shape with a width of 15.
Draw out a shape on the idea of mine for size.

Right click > Change to Raster

You can change the settings on each of these if you don't like my settings. I'm just letting you know what I've used.

Shape Layer
Eye Candy 4000 > Marble
Vein Size 23.76
Vein Coverage 100
Vein Thickness 0
Vein Roughness 88
2 colors from your tube

Click your magic wand and click inside of your shape. Add new layer > selections > modify, expand by 2. Flood fill with a color from your tube. Move it below your shape layer.

Blinds width 3, opacity 75
Light from left top and horizontal both checked
Use the black, white or another color from your tube
click OK

On your shape layer
Eye Candy 5 > Impact > Glass
Click on settings then click on the clear preset and OK

Click inside your shape layer and copy/paste your tube as a new layer. Place it so you can see what you want in the frame. Selections, modify by 15, invert then hit delete.

Change the blend mode to Luminance Legacy or something you like
Lower the opacity to 55 or something you like (Blend Modes will vary depending on your tube) Add your tube as a new layer and move where you want it

On your bottom blank layer fill with a color from your tube. Go to layers > load mask from disk. Make sure Source Luminance, Fit to Layer and Hide All Mask are checked. Merge Group

Effects > Distortion Effects > Twirl 720

I enlarged the mask so it would show behind
Image/Resize/Percentage
All layers NOT CHECKED

Click on your tube layer. Drop Shadow > 5, 5, 55, 10, Black

Crop your tag and resize if needed. Always resize your tag before adding

your credits which we will add now. Then add your name and save it as a PNG.

Enjoy, tag is finished.

Change the blend mode to Luminance Legacy and Opacity of 20 or what you like (Blend Modes will vary depending on your tube)

Copy/Paste your tube and move into position
Drop shadow 2, 2, 50, 5, black

Crop your tag back to 600 x 250

Now we will add our credits

I added JOEL in all caps and used Eye Candy 4000 > Glass and in Settings > Reset to Factory Default and change the color to white.
Eye Candy 4000 > Gradient Glow and use a lighter color from your tube with these settings Glow Width 3, Soft Corners 0, Overall Opacity 100 and repeat
Drop Shadow 2, 2, 50, 5, black and again with the same settings

Add a border AAA Frames > Foto Frame using a width of 10. I only added the border to my original background which is the one we flood filled with a color from the tube.

For the names I did the same effect as I did for JOEL
Eye Candy 4000 > Glass and in Settings > Reset to Factory Default and change the color to white.
Eye Candy 4000 > Gradient Glow and use a lighter color from your tube with settings at Glow Width 3, Soft Corners 0, Overall Opacity 100 and repeat
Drop Shadow 2, 2, 50, 5, black and again with the same settings

 Save as a JPG or PNG and your tag is complete.

Hello,

 

I've just started writing tutorials a short time ago. Someone twisted my arm so a blog was born. I'll be writing old school tutorials. These are from my own imagination. Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental. My goal is not to use something that might not be available due to a site shutting down, etc. I don't want people having to search the web for something like a template, mask, kit, etc. If I want to use a template, slat or some other type of supplies I'll make them and supply them for that tutorial. There are a few people that allow tutorial writers to supply some things with our tutorials so that's an option as well. I ask that you please not share any supplies I make without my permission.

These are the ONLY TWO groups that have my permission. Anyone else please ask me first just so I know what groups are wanting to use them for challenges. I'm a member in the groups below so that is why I give both groups permission in this post.

 

I give the owners of PSPX3 permission to share them with the group if using my tutorials for challenges in the PSPX3 group.

 

I give the owner of Taggers Haven permission to share them with the group if using my tutorials for challenges in the Taggers Haven group.

 

Please do not post my tutorials anyplace in any form, email, other sites, forums, etc. If anyone would like to use them, please send them a link to my blog. Any tag you make is your own, but the tutorial is still mine. Do not claim them as your own.
